skycat 6,173 Posted December 28, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 28, 2010 Thanks for the positive comments: I must admit that had I intended to breed an Airedale lurcher, which I did intend some day, maybe a couple of years from now, I would never have thought to put a Saluki/Grey over my Airedale! Why not? Putting two very different types of dog together, both with mega strong hunting instincts, and one having the Saluki 'sod you, I'm doing my own thing' attitude, might have resulted in pups impossible to train. BUT I wouldn't have been giving the Airedale side of things enough credit, and with the Airedale being a dog which works well with humans, and is very responsive (given the right kind of training as a pup) I'm now seeing that the two types are gelling together really well.....so far at any rate.
