s.e.s.k.u 1,893
Sounds promising. I'm gonna let rocky have a go at ratting in a couple of weeks, the farm next door to my old man is swarming. Keep me updated pal... be careful with the ratting at ayoung age mate, if theres loads of rats theres a good chance of the dog getting a nasty bite or two and the rabbits he catches in future may not be fit for the table if he bites them hard and shakes em like a rat, just a thought mate dont take this as im telling you what to do but imo the rat is very underestimated as a quarry to start a young dog on and if you are going to use the dog for rabbits then you want the dog to retrieve to hand unmarked or at least not ragged to death, all the best with the pup tho he looks a cracker Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Cheers SESKU. Sounds like wise advise. I will give the ratting a miss, for now at least. Mart - we came across a couple last weekend but didn't let him get too close. Didn't want him getting a sting yet. He is jumping well, mainly his own choice and finds his way through or over most field obstacles. What is Magic like around stock? Gaz Quote Link to post

Gaz she spot on with sheep, she dosnt even look at them but a little nervous around cows she jusy tries to climb in my boots to hide lol but has shown no agression or made any attempt to pull towards them. as for the electric fence that was completly my fault she was on the lead sniffling around as pups do and got a zap on the ear, she just turned round sat down and gave it a "what the fukc did you that for" kind of look, and as for jumping im starting to think there some kangaroo in the breeding somewhere lol Quote Link to post
