irish terrier x .....

the irish terrier lurcher, iv hurd alot of good things and bad things about this cross but mainly good things, so why are there none about in the modern day?!?

has anyboday ran this cross or does anybody still run this cross? can anybody put any photos up and information on them please? i find this cross very interesting and im one of those that prefer too take on the crosses that are rare, athough i do have a bedlington x whippet and a sal/whip/coll/grey x dh/gh lol never mind any information or photos would be very apreciated

p.s it doesnt have too be the irish terrier x greyhound it can be any lurcher aslong as its got irish terrier in there somwere,

mate just got dog out working Irish terrier but l would not touch one wheaten yea Irish terrier no why some one put picture up off a working one ???? now put one up off wheaten cross??? :thumbs:

Hiya

Ive often thought the same thing, i think an irish terrier would make a nice cross with a whippet, but you never see them. When i was a kid there was a lady that walked one over our local country park and that was always taking rabbits, i really wanted that dog. I think in the end she stopped taking it over there because it kept bringing her back dead rabbits lol. Always wondered if they would be any good having a straight one to work cover, but thats an expensive experiment. Got myself a greyhound, beddy x whippet instead. she is nearly 4 months now, will put up pics on here as soon as i can sort out some good pics. Neil.

glad ya like the look of the dog.the first cross irish terrier looks a bit too heavy set for me.but mabey thats just me as i like a racey lurcher.

i posted on this topic as i have a dog with irish terrier but i dont really care whats in the breeding once its works is all that counts :thumbs:
