Toal2011 40
I had a bitch out of Dancer and she was out of this world on a hare. She had speed to burn, could stay all day and most of all had a hunting brain. She knew when to use the gears. If i own another one like her i will be very lucky. Quote Link to post

BOLIO1 1,078
SHE`S LONG GONE MY FRIEND, AS IS BLONDIE. DANCER WAS A DOG MATE .ALWAYS REMEMBER WATCHING A DAYS COURSING ON THE FENS WITH BOLIO. THE DAY WAS NOTHING SPECIAL & THEN THIS BLACK MISSILE WENT FLYING BYE. I NEAR FELL DOWN THE BANKING GETTING MY CAMERA FROM ITS CASE & MANAGED SOME SNAPS SUCH AS THE PHOTO ABOVE.. MY TYPE OF DOG WITH A GOOD GEARBOX WAS DANCER Too right Optimus. I saw her win the Temple Bruer on stoney ground after having been laid off 5 weeks with a muscle tear. She killed the first 4 hares and the fifth was a missile that took her to the horizon where she bent it once and followed it back to the horizon on the opposite side without ever looking like giving up the chase. Alan gave me the tape and said he had kept that miss on to show what a heart the bitch had. A lot of people won't know this but Dancer lacerated a tendon in a rear foot at the age of six months and every hare she ever ran was with one flat hind foot. What a bitch! Quote Link to post
