Why is 4 shots so out of order??? I doubt very much that a head shot would have been possible given it was ragging her around!!!!!!! 3 to the body and one to the head to finish it when it let go is pretty likely

The dog is a big powerful animal pumped up and in attack mode one shot.....yeah right....mind you the keyboard marksmen can always do better eh

Fella the dog had been contained in a room by police with riot shields and was pts after the woman had been pronounced dead

terrible way to die poor woman. just read about breed,more likley to be a mixed breed today as there are (extinct). The dogs were 28in 150lb, so what chance as anybody got when they go mad like that. A 50lb dog could kill you never mind a 150lb dog

The police were likely using 9mm Glock pistols or Heckler & Koch MP5 SMGs on single shot. Standard practice is to double tap - fire two quick rounds. The legal minimum calibre for Red and Sika deer is .243", which has 4 times the muzzle energy and velocity of the 9mm. If the dog was as big as seems , the police were undergunned. Three shots to the body and a final shot at PBR to the head sounds about right.

Desperate situations call for desperate action. As long as the dangerous dog WHO HAD JUST FATALLY SAVAGED AN ADULT was taken out, why cry about how many shots it took? The job had to be done, end of. It seems some on here just like to gurn.
