I don't know much about old snowmobiles but it looks like the same engine as used in some of the old Massey Ferguson Ski Whiz's.

it's a sach 290 engine.I know even less about these :duh: as we don't get the snowfall here but the last two winters we had a problem geting out to feed the pheasants so trying to get this old girl to work for us :thumbs: if we do sods law we don't get any more snow :search:

Good luck with it. I presume you've got some ski's for the front! I've had several older snowmobiles over the years. Arctic Cat, Skidoo, Massey Ferguson and Evinrude. Great little things to mess around on but they can be a major pain to keep them running good. I always found they'd run really good when it was good and cold but once it gets up to 0 or +1 they had a real hard time. I never could get the carbs tweeked enough for the milder temps. You may need to change the jets or somthing to have any real success.

took the skis off so i can close the workshop door as for carb adjustment well lets just say its numb :whistling: hope it will be more accurate when its colder :thumbs:
