ade33uk 86
I would recomend you dont start ferret keeping with wild poleys , even half bred , they act completely differently to " domesticated " ferrets , the advert is a load of misleading nonsense aswell , they will probably not be good ratters , mine are to big to work rat holes they are bigger and more muscley than my others , I bet they are not awesome rabbit bolters either more like awesome rabbit killers and you will end up digging to kills more , and when they do come out of the burrows they tend to be a little more "fired up" , they are not the greatest pets as they are skulky and shy and dont really like being handled compared to my others , and i do handle them everyday and have done since little .the only thing i agree with is that it will add hybred vigour to your original stock and that is why I have mine I think in 2 or 3 generations the offspring will be excatly what im looking for . Start with 2 "normal" ferrets , dont pay more than a fiver for them look after them properly handle them everyday ,start reading as many books abouty them as you can and read this forum and dont be afraid to ask for help .
