zini 1,939
Hi lads, Here is my new tuned, serviced and customised r10 after it came back yesterday from Tench. The barrel is now a brand new BSA Ultra 12 inch barrel as I had my old barrel shortened and I thought that it was sorted for accuracy, but after a bit of trying this and that and different pellet brands and after a closer inspection by Tench a slight problem was identified within my old rifling which was hindering a bit of accuracy and causing a odd flier. So after a bit of Tenching which was planned anyway as I was going to get my reg tuned and rifle serviced and tuned, Tench fitted me a brand new Ultra barrel and did the full job on it while I waited with Laura. 1.5 hours later and after loads of bits being lathed out by Tench in his workshop and the reg being tweaked from 50 bar to 90 bar each shot, the cocking action tuned and shortened the seals replaced and the rifle split into more parts that I though was possible, she was re-assembled and the power set using 13 grain Falcon Accurcy Plus pellets at 11.79 foot pounds. I got her home to my mums and re-zeroed her producing a 5 shot pellet on pellet group. She was brilliant before, but now she is a shooting dream and seems even more quieter too. Here are a few photos of her. si Edited December 23, 2010 by zini Quote Link to post

zini 1,939
Thanks lads for the kind comments . Glad that you like the DVDs Ste buddy and worth the money . Hi Mark, thanks again for having me and LJ down at yours again buddy. We really enjoyed our time with you and your family and felt very welcome . Yes the new Tench tuned r10 is just something else mate. I didnt think it could be improved much as it was awesome anyway but its just unbelieveable pal:notworthy: Tench recommended changing pellets as well to the new Falcon Accurcy Plus. We did a little test with them at Tenches workshop on his chrono and the 13 grain Falcon Accurcy Plus fly faster and flatter than the 16 grain pellets but have the same BC as the 16 grain pellets so still hit hard. He has now tuned the power on my rifle from 11.79 on 16 grain AA (which he first tested) to 11.79 foot pounds using the new Falcon Accurcy Plus pellets at 13 grains. So basicially i have a tuned, flat firing and hard hitting vermin destroyer now Get yourself a r10 Mark and join the Fellowship Si Edited December 23, 2010 by zini Quote Link to post
mikeyblue 28
Hi Si, Looks sweet pal. Im also using the Falcon Accuracy Plus (in .177)in my R10, and they are by far the best grouping pellet for my barrel. The trajectory is also ridiculously flat! I just havent had time to test them in a cross wind yet though. Regards, Mikey. Quote Link to post
zini 1,939
Hi Mikey, Tench told me on the phone weeks ago that he tested them on the range in wind and they dont blow off as much as other .177 pellets. He really recommends them pal and Tench knows his shooting as he has just drew on a HFT course with the bloke who has just won the world HFT championships, so he is a top shot. Si Quote Link to post
