What do you use to smoke rats out with?

Recommended Posts

why ?

Anything requiring Gas or Oil will struggle big time in sub zero temeratures. Gas will liquidise and settle in the bottom of the bottle, instead of pushing the vapour to the to the valve release. Oil simply thickens up, and turns into a jelly rendering it next to useless, unless it has been modified to deal with constant below zero temps.

i have the rat attack smoker, ive used it twice, and wont be using it again. i was using an old chainsaw with the bar taken off, and a compressed airline fitting welded direct into the exhaust, and just a piece of hyraulic pipe pushed on to the male end of the airline fitting. this worked a treat til it packed up. but iv just managed to get hold of another second hand chainsaw cheap. so just need to modify this and im back in buisness.

p.s just run the engine as its supposed to run. dont be tempted to put extra oil in, it will just run badly.

Use anything with 2 Stroke engine but use pleanty of oil in the mix and a spot of brake fluid, That really does make them smoke :big_boss: I'v had little success with pellets as the smoke i'snt being forced into the holes it just burns in the enterence so it doesent seem to travel through the tubes very well but a smokey exhaust blows the smoke and fumes all the way through and works much better.

Merry christmas

I agree about the rat attack smokers freezing up.

I take mine and use it till it packs up then switch to the trusts hedge cutter.

I have to say that I preffer the rat attack smoker for the volume of smoke and the lack of noise but its reliability realy let it down.

I WOULD NOT buy another one.

Merry Crimbo and happy hunting.
