lurcher123 3
have you seen this fox for your self noemally a fox will kill every thing and leave it then just come back and help its self sound more like a cat to me atb any way hope you get what ever is taking your chickens This is very true, you would usualy see a masacre in a chicken pen, foxes dont just take one for the pot normaly. And remember with a live trap you still have to have a legal means of dispatch. (To make sure your coverd) we all kno what happend to that guy that drowned a squirell. .atb. .ste. If he could get at them all Ive no doubt all would be dead! The hens walk out of the housing on to a raised floor/slats,2ft of the ground, The fox gets under them and must pull the odd one threw the slats, Once the run is moved on to a slabbed/paved area A fox will not be able to get under the run to be in reaching distance of the hens.(he digs under the perimeter of the run and must wait under the slates for his chance,) The fox has been seen mate, a few times but only threw the window, if ya open the window or door its gone faster than a greyhound. Been on YouTube and got some ideas ill try, Thanks to all that advised, any more ideas welcome

genuine 81
Im not expert on snaring but im 99.9% certain, the snare should be set between 6-8inches off the ground, setting one makes it easier to miss charlie, if you have a good number set your chances of catching charlie will increase a lot. Good Luck.

Dont forget to let us kno how you get on Thanks mate, I will be collecting a live trap soon after Christmas, and have put ply board over slats for now so fox will not be able to grab his dinner, but it will make cleaning the run a bit of a pain in mean time,
