faulty indicator bulb on my bike

Basically my motorbike went down the other day - I wasn't on it but my clutch lever took the full force - fairings okay etc - apart from today my rear left indicator has stopped working, I changed the bulb and it was working fine but after work yesterday it failed again, now last night I cleaned the indictaor housing and connections out, put a new bulb in - spot on! - got home from work again today and it's failing once again, I know nothing about veicles but i dare say this is a short somewhere, how would I go about finding it? it's not blowing bulbs either

Did it land on the switch side on your handle bars?? It could be a loose wire on that mate its worth a look

mate mate had the same on his moped, what we done was take the tale off completely don't know if you can or not on yours, but we completely removed it, checked all the wiring only to find a shorted fuse just near the on for a better word "tickover box" so we changed that and now it works again, but its only that side that didnt work.... his other side and front worked well

cheers i'll be check both of them solutions out - the clutch lever snapped so thats where the indicator switch is yes - also it is only one side that isn't working, I think I can get get into the tail, i'll get plenty of wd40 on connection aswell with this weather

save yourself alot of time, get it to a bike mechanic to check,

 

our bike would'ent start, had loads of "bikers" look at it, all quoting the wiring loom was fecked, took it to me son who's a mechanic for apprillia, turned out to be the fitted alarm, 15 minutes later and bike ran perfect
