New Toy!

Recommended Posts

Hi All...

After getting a Mk3m ferret finder for my birthday (Saturday), i finally thought today was the day to test it out.

I had been watching the chosen warren on and off for about a week now when out walking to dog. Its a new warren to me and one i havn't ferreted it before.

After the snow came, i took the chance to have another look. There was rabbit wee and poo all around the holes and the dog was going nuts.

Now i knew there were rabbits at home, i thought it was the time to give it a go.

I went with my shooting buddie who is at uni now so it was a rare opportunity which was cool.

We got there early and soon set out the nets. Its only a 9 holer so this was done quickly.

We left it to settle whilst we had a quick fag and a chat and soon collared up the ferret and slipped her past one of the nets.

I took one of this years kits with me who has been doing really well recently.

After a cold 20 mins of waiting, we had out first bolt, followed by 2 more in the next half hour.

After 2 more slipped the nets, we decided to head back to his to thaw out over a coffee (His house is right next to my permission).

We intended to head out again and hit another warren but he bailed out to do some xmas shopping

Not a great bag today, but was great to catch up with an old pal and get out in the snow!

To anyone who hasn't used the MK3, its great! In my opinion, far better than my mk1.

Although we didnt need to use it to dig to, it seemed very accurate and the 'search' function is great!

I should be out again between now and xmas so will try to remember to take some pics next time

Anyways,

Merry xmas and good hunting to you all!

Andy.
