robo-christ 40
no ball's when you compare it to a bull, very heavy set,and just generally add's absolutely nothing to a lurcher that another breed couldnt. the are quite intelligent though and i suppose it could double as a guard dog,but couldnt see it catching much bar the odd lamped rabbit. Richie10 345
That Rottie on the vid with the Coyote could have had it but held off. Like with the Doberman if it's not around then there is a reason, I don't think you will find a new superbreed. Too heavy and slow.

judge2010 196
think their to heavyboned compared to the dogo and the ambull has more preydrive as its used for pig hunting. in certain places in europe they use the rottweiler as a fighting which rates the same as a dogo, doberman and german shepherd so i'm told. bollox do they use rottwielers anywhere as fighting dogs . . . . they wernt even bred for that purpose . . . . . i think you find they f*****g do, if you knew abit more and not just what you read on the internet you would know. RicW 67
i don't no much about hunting dogs and don't own a dog but rotties are lovely animals, when i have more time i'd have one as a pet straight away, my couasin owns one and it's a belter, lovely temprement aswell Yeah! When my daughter was about 4, we were walking along the cut, sorry canal footpath. We saw a guy walking towards us with a big GSD and a Rotty, off their leads. The dogs were totally under control, and as they came near us the owner heeled both. No problem, except as they came near my wee gal shouted "Nice Doggies!" and leapt at the Rottie. Threw her arms round its neck, gave it a BIG KISS on the nose, and this vicious killer rolled over for a tum scratch. The owner was really enbarrassed . . . and you would have bin gutted if that rotty grabbed hold of your doughter mate. my kids are tought never to go near other dogs . . . . Fair comment. She was too quick for me! She grew up with dogs, and I always taught her to treat them with respect. One way to make sure your kids get bitten is to teach them to be afraid of dogs, you need to get the balance between fear and respect.

fitchet 788
leave the rotties to guard peoples houses what they were breed for why is it people love totry and be different ? i would support aany breeding if i thought it might add something to a good working dog . . . . but just doing it for the sake of bieng different is stupid
RicW 67
OK. Thanks guys. I knew there must be a reason but I couldn't work it out. Good that you dogmen are willing to respond to a shooter who wants to learn. Ric
