Keeps 403
As it was the first time this has happened for 400 years, I thought I'd better get a snap of it..Took this morning, hand held so not the sharpest or best of photos, just before it disappeared behind the rooftops Edited December 21, 2010 by Keeps
lurchergrrl 1,441
That's a cool shot I assume it's a blended image or whatever you call it? I roused the kids at half 6 this morning, layered them up like the Michelin man in warm clothes, set and packed the camera, and we all trooped out to see the eclipse - which must've happened behind the damn clouds 'cause we never saw a thing Dog had fun tho
HiLost 32
cracking pic keeps, its hard to get good shots of eclipses so well done @ Lurchergirl
Keeps 403
Its not blended its exactly how it came out of the camera - the branches in front of it are the trees in my back garden Shame you didnt see it lurchergrrl, especially when you went out and made the effort
lurchergrrl 1,441
I really like that Keeps and I'm more than slightly jealous; I was really hoping for a pic. But never mind ... was a nice quiet walk anyway and it means the kids will be shattered tonight and in bed early!
Malt 379
Nice shots! I took these ones of a 'red moon' lunar eclipse that happened a few years back. they're not brilliant, given the low res camera I took them off. These two are the best, even though they are taken without any zoom on: These two are just as the earth's shadow is starting to encroach on the moon: What was the story behind the '400 year' period of last nights eclipse? I missed all mention of last nights one..
Malt 379
Been looking at the moon tonight as it goes! Wish I had a decent camera to do it justice, it's crystal clear tonight in the freezing sky after the snow we had earlier.
