twobob 1,497
Hark at you lot! I bet each and every one of you enjoy a drink now and again.. What's the difference apart from one being legal and one not being? Typical THL bandwagoners. If you're so quick to lump all drugs together then you should also criticise people for having a drink, otherwise you'd all be hypocrites... (Bandwagoners).Got it in one Malt.I would think like most teen,s growing up we all had a puff at one time.I know i did.Surely knowone can say they dont have one friend that take,s a blow.Unless thet grew up in a bubble.18 year,s .The man,s paid his due. bandwagoners..all pushers want one putting in there head..id be the first to put my name down for fireing squad duty. what cracks me up is we harp on about how foreigners comeing to the uk should abide by our laws and how they should be strung up ,shot for one thing or another..one of our own get caught abroad doing something they deem equally serious and its all a bit harsh. also i dont drink and could quite happily see that banned same as smokeing(and im a smoker)im well aware of the strain these put on the likes of nhs, familys, peoples health etc but theres no comparison to how drugs have contributed to crime ,murders and AND HEALTH . ONE IN THE HEAD! Big difference between two month for killing a child while allready banned from driving and done it since ,and 18 year for cannabis smuggling
littlefish 578
Riohog thats Malaysia and Singapore not Thailand. The bloke was stupid, he wronged but id say he's done more than enough time and in a stinking shit hole for the crime of hashish. If it were Heroin id say he needs to do at least another 12 as Heroin not only ruins the lives of the idiots who take it but more often than not their families and their victims who they steal off to fund their addiction. These junkies probably serve their apprenticeship on hashish and so begins their slippery descent to self destruction and crime.........to me, it don't sound oh so harmless then. mackem 26,226
Met Billy a couple of times when he lived in Hong Kong, friend of a friend type of thing, saw him a few times socially,as for his sentence for a few kilos of dried plant matter(Thats all cannabis is,the same as tobacco except grass has no added carcinogenic chemicals),well, the Philippines is uber-hypocritical,the biggest cannabis plantations have army/police connivance in their protection, one of their politicians was caught smuggling coke into Hong Kong last year,CCTV at NAIA showed him getting preferential treatment and being escorted through customs controls and bypassing the searches usually undergone by mere mortals to exit Manila. You get a lot of time for reflection 1000's of miles from home in a hot, stinking, festering foreign cell,he made a mistake certainly, but who hand on heart hasnt? mackem 26,226
Question,if prohibition came into effect as from midnight tonight, the government in their wisdom decreed that alcohol and ciggies were henceforth illegal would any of you buy your drink of tobacco from the multitudinous gangs who would spring up to capitalise on the ban and smuggle in your supplies? Not interested in starting a shitfest, just curious. If you're so quick to lump all drugs together then you should also criticise people for having a drink, otherwise you'd all be hypocrites... destinct difference mate between liking a drink .. and being a f..ckin drug peddler the only difference is a peddler of drink is called the tax man,and drink causes much more harm, and costs the nhs millions every year but thats socially accepted, and at the end of the day were talking about cannabis ,not smack ,but he was a silly boy and any one with half a brain would,nt do that in a country which hands out such sentences, but hav,nt we all done stupid things when we were young ,you would think by the comments that half the people on this site are absolute saints edited to say pettition signed, that could be your son or your daughter Edited September 30, 2011 by greg64
mackem 26,226
Well said Greg, maybe everyone should shun their local off-licence owner or tobacconist because both could be classified as drug-dealers,and both punt products far,far more harmful to society than a bit of dried plant. The reason Billy is still inside is political, thats it,the philippines handed out massive sentences for marijuana because it is america's lapdog, the old reefer-madness syndrome, thats the truth of the matter,BUT pinoy lawmakers looked at his case last month, theres just a chance he may be paroled in the near future. scothunter 12,609
any dealer or smuggler should weigh up the situation before he gets involved.the law here is quite clear and if your caught you know what to expect.so thats the chance you take,on the other hand places abroad are not so leniant in there sentencing.so for that reason i wouldnt even try to deal or smuggle drugs in those shitholes.feel sorry for the guy,but it wasnt as if he didnt know the consequnces if he got busted.
