Gin 498
Get the pup chipped, it costs about £10. If the pup gets lost, you get it back. Quote Link to post

caterpiller 10
Yes....get them chipped, you stand a much better chance of having them returned to you if they are ever lost or stolen. Cant say every Council does it???? but my Local Council Chips your Dogs for Free Quote Link to post
farlap 19
Yes....get them chipped, you stand a much better chance of having them returned to you if they are ever lost or stolen. Cant say every Council does it???? but my Local Council Chips your Dogs for Free yes, give your local dog warden a call they will tell you where their scheme is, if they haveone. Anyone near Plymouth for example, can get it done very cheaply at Gables Farm dogs home. its not just theft where its helpful, if your dog gets lost for any reason it will also help you reunite. HiLost 32
all dogs in the uk should be chipped its an excellent scheme, its by no means faultless but if everyone had to have their dogs chipped by law it would make traceability of lost/stolen dogs much easier and free up spaces in dog rescues and pounds as dogs would be reunited with their owners more quickly and also people might think twice about dumping a dog they no longer want if its traceable back to them and they are accountable for it. tramy 0
get it chipped you tight git Quote Link to post
collie/grey 238
All mine are chipped and i would never get a dog and not chip it, the world is too risky, 1 of mine is also ear tattooed and i intend to get the others done to. It's a small price to pay if the dog ever does get lost or stolen. Quote Link to post
HiLost 32
shame you dont live nearer c/g I would be happy to tattoo your dogs for you for free tattoos take best when done in puppy hood, the dots stretch as the ear grows and the tattoo is larger and more easily read. But in dark skinned or dark coloured dogs it can be hard to see, same with dogs with hairy ears, so tattoo and chip together is the best choice Quote Link to post
