Guest stewie
im all for getting new and young people in to the game but only if they are genuinely interested in hunting and in it for the long haul but at the same time i wonder if these sites attract people who only want to try it because they seen pictures of it online and think "i might try that" and results in them buying a dog, doing it all wrong and f*****g it up for everyone else or asking stupid questions like "would my 9 yr old staffy go to ground" and then people say "try it" yeah good advice there!! i can see it now he will find the most blatant earth in the fecking country and get seen trying to "entice a dog to ground" by some nosy b*****d, end up in trouble and get us all tarred with the same brush as him or the clown who sees dogs and deer and thinks "ill try my aunties ex-racer on one of them" gets caught and again its the genuine lads who get tarred with the same brush i no we all gotta start somewhere but FFS some of the shit that some come out with on these sites is unbelievable!!! im all for giving good advice just think who you are giving it to cause lets be honest 9 out of 10 people are probably better off knowing f**k all about hunting
Kay 3,709
Stewie i think its got nothing to do with the site being about hunting .. its the sheer amount of activity on here & volume of members on at any one time

Malt 379
I don't think it's this site Stewie, it's hunting in general. Since the ban, hunting larger game with dogs has gained a bad boy image with all the headlines about 'criminal gangs poaching deer with vicious dogs' from places like the BBC. gnasher16 30,062
Huntings no different to any other hobby....you will get people seriously into it and others who just have a dabble....you cant dictate how seriously somebody takes a hobby just because someones not out every day in all weathers dont mean they dont have a right to look in on a hunting website....myself i come under the occasional dabble bracket,a couple of chaps near me know a hell of a lot more than me and take it very seriously i just tag along occasionally simply because i find it very interesting....so im certainly no hardcore hunter....but like anything else, theres a time and place to ask questions and in todays times too many folk get their info off the internet instead of in real life, hence folk tend to ask some silly questions on forums such as this.
