seven days of fever chills topped off with diahorrhea and vomiting. My great grandfather died from spanish flu in the 1920'S and I seriously thought I might be going follow in his footsteps. Dogs not out for over a week had to take two days off work. Anyone else get this bad strain going about.

i seen myself with what I previously referred to as flu out lamping with a bottle of cough syrup in the pocket so as not to spook any close slip chances. This is different. I am for work in the morning but still awake as i have been to the shitter three times in the last hour.:-) bad times.

same here.but seriously its not flu.flu gets you properly bedridden for a good while you cant move,your body aches constantly etc.you had a common cold like the rest of us.

yep we have all had it,, had my mrs down the hospital twice last week, as readie said it puts you on your arse, i had flue same as this 15 year ago as a single bloke living alone,,, like the other guy said thought my time was up 2 week in bed.

 

my mum and dad visited at the end of last week,,, i told em not to come,,,, the old man has it now,,, but me mum had had the flue jab,, she's fine,,,,,,,,, think ile have it next year ..

 

one things for shure when you have proper flu ,, you will never call a cold "flu" again,,,,, wel unless its man flu

My family all had it too. I got away quite lightly compaired to my 2 kids and missus.

 

Some spokesperson from the nhs said that the flu epedemic this year is no worse that other years. Bollocks if you ask me! That many people got it on my street, so its not the snow you have to worry about. Its the frozen rivers of snot!

yes ive had it been stuck in bed for 2 days,couldnt even get to work for 4 days my boss is well peed of no forklift driver and loads of bins to go out,tried to explain to him i am ill but hey he couldnt understand went mad not like its his company it belongs to the tax payer

on the local news tonight (east mids), there has been 6 kids die in the last 2 weeks cos of these flu virouses, also a pregant mother in hospital , real sad news and just shows how serriouse it can be.

had the shingles this time last year ,it realy knocked the shit out of me and my emune system ,since then ive had every bug and virus going ,have just got over a cold but it defo wasnt the flu ..........someone once said if you seen a £50 note out of your window on your garden ,if youve got a cold you,d go out and get it .if you got the flu it,ll still be there in the morning lol

tango. Its serious man. Puked my ring again tonight. Have to say was not your cooking but staying awake to wake you so you did not miss the Amir Khan fight led to the exhaustion. Only time I have been sick eight days in a row was when I was on the piss eight nights in row.
