the bitch in the pic was not shown anything till she 14 mounth time will tel wither has payd of.looking forward to see the difrence between the half cross to the 3/4 breed pups.few people that have pups out the halfcross have said they suprised how quick they are for big dogs

they are the spit of each other, the sire was 27" the pup just keeps growing upwards not sure if hes ever gonna stop lol!! all the dogs posted on this thread look great!! there arent to many people on here running this cross i seem to have joined an elite!!!!

my pup is doxhope, breed off trevor cook and well known name in the deerhound world he breeds a great pup, trev is a personal friend of mine so i have gettin a good choice off him, theses pups he got on is out of his top stud dog to a open racer greyhound bitch she is 27 tts and very thick set nice looker, so all goes well ill have a handy pup on my hand s..cheers

trev a decent man his dhghs not bad either best phone call av made.got a litter due 15 jan out of a dog of trev to a young open racer ghound.tried to buy the half cross dog when went down to pic my pup up.wasnt for sale then mounths later trev phoned saying dog was for sale.picked dog up next day.. big boab

never owned or run this cross before!! but have high hopes for this one!! if hes half as good as his sire i'll be a happy hunter, 9mth 25" an still growing!! still too much of a baby to do anything with!! but hes got all his manners now and has been easy to train so far!!

half hearted and idle they most definitely are not, not the ones I have known or had.

My old first x in her younger days, photos not so great back then, 29" tts, and not a problem catching rabbits. These are old photos & obviously are pre-ban.

 

 

 

 

my younger deerhound greyhound (24"), whom I have bred a pup from, again not at all lacking in heart/drive, she has very good stamina, drive, speed and agility.

 

 

 

 

 

I like the cross, and will always have a bit of deerhound in my dogs, though recently I have crossed this to beardie blood, producing a much smaller faster dog (22"), still mostly deerhound based (though you wouldn't think so by looks alone).

My idea was; get the very best 1st cross I could, give it the best upbringing I could; give it the best entering I could, and hope for the best !! Everything seems to be going to plan, only time will tell !

There is some right crap written about F1 Deer/Greys ! Not fast enought ? This pups dams half brother won the Greyhound Derby, TWICE ! She is the fastest lurcher I've had ! She's 29" and turns almost as fast as my 23" bitch ! She's had pleanty of rabbits, and jumps, hunts and lamps ! She is doing EVERYTHING I expect of her at 17 month. She won't be used for ferreting LOL !!but that isn't what she was brought in for !!!!
