We have this problem all the time so its just part of the game, when there is plenty of cover they bolt well. I also agree with the noise above ground that does make a big difference. max abell 196 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Share Posted December 20, 2010 we have had the same problem since the snow and hard ground arrived dig after dig we have had more hang ups in the last 2 trips out than all the rest of the season put together so far we started near the end of august the last couple of trips have been a nightmare but i do think its because the ground being so hard magnifies the sound when walking over the holes Quote Link to post

bush wacker 77 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Share Posted December 20, 2010 same today aswell 2 bolts 3 digs(1 was 5ft) and 1 i couldn't pick up on the finder and had to wait for the ferret to show,this i only the 2nd time iv had to dig(i only started ferreting this season)the hardest day ferreting iv had yet Quote Link to post
