Guest crobinc840
I had a wolf mix that was very gangly when it was younger no matter how much food and what I fed it. I certainly wouldn't put a picture on the web of it as a specimen of what a hybrid should look like

No justification needed. Or shall we call the RSPCA?

Or shall we call the RSPCA? Possibly the first time ive ever agreed with something artics said ...plenty dogs are naturally on the thin side same as some are prone to carry weight.....when its a dog thats of a slender build anyway its easy to mistake it for being skinny.....even light framed dog breeds can have specimens that are naturally thinner than the average of the breed....it dont mean their unhealthy Edited December 18, 2010 by gnasher16
Guest crobinc840
I was alway a bit self concious about it but he did finally gain weight as he got older and looked great. Just like some people being scrawny teenagers, it was just a stage.
romany52 313
It's probably not as thin as it looks, it's back is flexed which is bound to emphasize the vertebrae, and it's lungs are full, so the ribs are pushed right out, if it was standing normally it would most likely look like a lean fit dog.
