Daystate Silencer Adaptor Help

I just purchased a new silencer adaptor for my Ranger off Ebay! the guy was selling it as a adaptor for a Airwolf but aparantly the Ranger and wolfs are both the same size diameter shroud fitting, I'm now thinking this can't be the case due to the size difference of these two .

 

the original adaptor <shroud side> that came with the rifle is 16.5mm. the new one I just purchased is 20.5mm which obviously won't fit into my shroud. here's a quick picture showing the two adaptors together! the smaller is the original that fits my Ranger.

 

if anyone has a Wolf or Ranger on the site could they please let me know the diameter of the thread on the shroud adaptor end?

Quick update:

 

Turns out that this gun was fitted with a smaller diameter shroud! <16.5mm> could well be a Daystate MK4 or simular. for the life of me I can't see why but my intention is to take the gun back to its original state so I will be investing in a genuine Air Ranger/Airwolf shroud to match the rifle <22.5mm>.

 

Just wish I was told this when I picked the gun up Secondhand! at least It would have put me more in the picture .
