rabbits were killed on a farm where we have permission, for pest control

My 2 girl ferrets are lovely and always find a rabbit down a hole. But i have to dig them out everytime! Its really doing my head in. They both get hold of rabbits and rip em to pieces. Sometimes spending 2 hours digging them out. And its not nice making a mess of my permission.

 

Anyone got any tips?

 

We use a MK3 finder. But we only have one collor

take all the advice you have been given and try it.but you may find these ferrets will always be like this. i had a jill exactly the same it was dig dig nearly all the time.saw her mother work about 2 years after buying her and she was the same. when worked in a large warren did get some bolters. put her in a small one and there was no chance killed everytime.my other 3 ferrets at the time bolted rabbits no problem with very few kills. are your 2 jills litter sisters?

yes the jills are sister. one is bigger than the other. the smaller one has bolted 2 i think. and the big one just locks its jaws lol

 

takes some getting them off when they lock their jaws hahaha
