lurchergrrl 1,441
A friend of mine has recently adopted a horse, so I seized the opportunity to go down and down some pics of him for her. I love horses, and I'm comfortable around them, which is a good thing 'cause he followed me everywhere sucking on my coat and trying to nibble my camera ... which made it difficult to get some long shots It was so much fun. And a great opportunity for a bit of practice Still playing around and editing them but I thought I'd share anyway
ghillies 209
do you find horses dont like the auto zoom noise?
lurchergrrl 1,441
I don't know ghillies - didn't use it. He did prick his ears up when the shutter clicked tho. He seemed really steady but he'd have to be, being an ex police horse. I'm glad of it too 'cause he's a biiiig fella, spooking him mightn't be a nice thing

Never had a problem with zoom noise frightening any animals although the other half's D700 shutter sounds like a machine gun going off sometimes! lurchergrrl 1,441
Thanks everyone He's an Irish Draft, such a big, soft, steady lad. A few other folks who stable their horses down there have seen these and asked me to do their horses as well I was gobsmacked ... and then I did a little happy dance ....
