What time to go lamping at?

surely there will be a time when the highest amount of rabbits will be out though, surely this time would be the best time to go out. i cant imagine a rabbit coming out of its burrow at 4 and staying out of its burrow till just before dawn so i dont think its that stupid a question

the rabbits are on there way out at dusk, i dont go too late in the week as i have to be up at 4.45am, if i go late on a weekend i dont seem to see as much, when your on permission it dont matter what time ya go

cant see the moon the clouds are in the way.

you would be surprised how bright it can be, even with cloud cover.

the only way you will find out is by gettin your boots on and having look around at different times.as im pretty sure your dog would love to be out and about looking rather than waiting around for some one to answer a silly question on the internet

as long as its dark or starting to get dark its up to you i go at difrent times as i dont hav much spots to go on but after sum weeks you learn what times and conditions are best on the land you hunt

I normally set out at 11ish, however I will go early morning say 3,4am.

 

I've always noticed that going at that time allows the rabbits to settle.
