People say they are thick but from my experience it must be the man not the dog because myn is well behaved and not thick at all. Myn takes things on the lampall night long and i'm sure a pure will aswell. ps, get i working mate, a show saluki is a waist of a dog. Quote Link to post
cocker 2,655
depends what you want to train it to do, theres training and theres training, i dont think you would get one to compete in flyball, but for work mine were self entered, and just do what i want them to do, instinctivley, i havent even bothered trying to train them, i havent had to, they just work for me, and me alone, hunt jump kill carry good recall good guard dogs 100% trustworthy around livestock and poultry, its all just natural and hardwired inbred into them, ive never ever had any bother off them, easy as anything when you know how. 1 Quote Link to post

cocker 2,655
Nice looking dogs cocker what age and what Scenarios did you use to break them to stock? i live right next to/amongst sheep fields and farms mate, and so it just came natural to them really, i just walked through the sheep and growled at the dogs when they were pups, if they so much as gave the sheep a glance, plus i keep poultry and also hawks, so i always had the dogs around stuff, people think salukis are difficult but there not they know whats right and wrong they are easy to manage, plus they are good gaurd dogs, they go ballistic if they hear anything or see anything strange, out our back, all these traits are hard wired into them, and has been for thousands of years, good hunters protective of there there owners, trustworthy with livestock, mis trustful and aloof with strangers Quote Link to post
