brickie 76
I've waited to see if i could come up with the right words , to say what Dave was to me and to be honest i can't . For words seem inadequate , he was a good friend , a man who was very passionate about hunting, the kind of man many of us aspire to be , who had time for everyone and was very knowledgeable about all fieldsports. He will be sorely missed but not forgotten, for i have many great memories of days out spent in this mans company and i will cherish them . My deepest sympathy to his family R.I.P mate Quote Link to post

Maybe we ought to think of this when newbies come here and ask newbie type questions .How would a guy like Dave have addressed them ? Quote Link to post

Foxgun Tom 75
Many people were there from all over the country including myself! having spent a day travelling from Scotland staying one night in England and only arriving home a few hours ago today! I spent an hour stuck in the weather beaten traffic in the Lake District and it gave me time to reflect on Dave's funeral, the previous day. Of Course there was sadness but!! there was also a great deal of joy later on, when we all retired back to Dave's local! some of us eulogised and passed about photo's of our friend, while others in memory of a gentle, gentle man sang his favourite hunting songs, I'm sure Dave was there laughing and joking in the bar with the rest of us? His young lad "Sean" has had to grow up very quckly in the last week and has shown a great deal of maturity for his young years! Your Dad would be extremely pround son as all your Dad's friends are! My thoughts are with Dave's wife Lynne and the rest of the family Tom 1 Quote Link to post

Doohan 46
Roeddwn yn segura i ffwrdd yn awr sbâr heddiw, fflicio drwy fy "Contryman's Weekly pan ddes ar draws Dave Bonnett's coffäol. Mae hyn yn rhaid i mi feddwl am dano, yr amser byr roeddwn yn gwybod iddo a'r amseroedd da yr ydym yn eu rhannu gyda'n gilydd. Mae hefyd yn got 'm rhyfeddu, felly yr wyf yn "Googled" ei enw a deuthum ar draws y swydd hon. Fi jyst wedi ychwanegu fy sylwadau eich hun: Drwy gydol bywyd Rwy'n mesur dyn gan ei eiriau & gan ei weithredoedd neu weithredoedd. Yn seiliedig ar hyn, gallaf ddweud yn ddiogel Dave fod yn ddyn mawr. Mae hyn yn fy molawd i David Bonnett: Pan fyddwn yn gyntaf gyfarfod & wyf yn dweud wrthych am fy gynlluniau byth, byddwch mocked mi, dy eiriau o anogaeth cefais yr hyder i fynd ymlaen. Yr oeddech yn ffrind i mi yn ystod cyfnod o "tywyllwch", lle y gall rhai pobl wedi troi eu cefnau. Yn lle hynny mi a gynigir i chi yn llaw cyfeillgarwch. Mae eich geiriau caredig a gweithredoedd, ar yr achlysur hwnnw, oedd fel golau llachar, a helpodd godi fi allan o'r pwll. Empathi a dealltwriaeth o'r fath yn rhywbeth y byddaf byth yn anghofio, a bydd yn fyw gyda mi am weddill fy mywyd. Fy unig ofid yw na chefais i ddiolch i chi yn bersonol. Gyda chalon drom, yr wyf yn gwneud hyn yn awr. Diolch i chi David, efallai y byddwch yn gorffwys mewn heddwch. Quote Link to post
