I met Dave lots of times over the years and can honestly say i never heard him knock anyone or there dogs, he was always a gent and alway a good host, R.I.P Dave and thanks for the memories.

I met Dave through some friends a few years ago and was asked to Judge his show a couple of years back, He made me most welcome and was a genuine nice chap who always had time to chat. A sad loss loss to the terrier world.

I am very sad to hear that Dave has passed away, the terrier world has lost a true terrierman. My thoughts go out to his family. RIP Dave.

No words can express this sad time, the death of any true gentleman / terrierman of the like of Dave is hard to take. Ive known Dave for many a year, never have i met a more sincere man has him. The terrier world has a big hole in it, that will never be filled. A terrierman though and though.

So sorry to here of Dave,a true dog man if ever ,a great laugh and i offer my deepest sympathy to all his family . he is a great loss to the world of terriers and Lurchers ,NOW HUNTING IN THE NEXT LIFE,PLEASE BELEIVE IN THIS.

Ive known Dave since i was 10 yrs old, he used to take me every Saturday with him and friends with terriers, i had my first terrier of Dave and still carry on with that bloodline, he was a true friend and a true gentleman, will never forget you, a great loss to all aspects of hunting.

I'd known Dave for a number of years and had spent time with him recently! he made me smile with his gentle demeanour and outlook on life, I found out early on Monday morning of his passing and have waited till now to comment! my condolence's and thoughts are with his family at this time!

 

I have lost a dear friend and a sometime drinking partner, a man who was generous in spirit and in his friendship. I love visiting Wales but my next journey will be tinged with sadness to say farewell to a man of dignity who was also very humble as well as a great raconteur!!

i never knew his name but recognised him from that photo and ive spoke to him at a few shows he gave my old black bitch a second at lichfield about three years ago and always came across as a real nice man. may he R.I.P
