Hi, mate.   You may have problems if you fit any kind of pod (gay, straight, bi or curious...) to your TX. If you're shooting from the pod all the time you'll be fine but when you're not useing it,

How would i fit one to the super 10 lads?? Would i have to drill the stock?? Im guessing it would be best to take the action out of the stock first incase you drilled to far  That would be a sickener!! lol Would be interesting to see how people have attached theirs, if anybody fancies putting a few photos on,

It seems as though im going to be the one getting a blazing this time........I wouldnt touch the cheaper bipods with a barge pole..,harris have been around for over twenty years and have stood the test of time,so much so that all other bipods incorperate some of the harris features,im an engineer and i have a tendancy to over scrutinize things and having looked at other bipods on the market i feel there built using cheaper materials....one things for sure harris are the most expensive but they will last a lifetime....,i have 3 of the 9-13 swivel models all without the notched legs and i am pleased with the way they perform time after time...one small thing though ,i feel the harris is improved with the addition of a podlock....atb

Why would we do that H?

If you have the money, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with using it to get the most expensive

A lot of us are on limited budgets :icon_redface: especially new shooters who are 'testing their interest' shall we say?

I myself have been on a very tight budget for the last few years  so I've gone down the cheap route and found most of the stuff to be more than adaquate for my personal needs and style of shooting :gunsmilie:

I have indeed, not the States as last time I did bring something in, I got hammered for inport duty :wallbash: more than the price of the goods and shipping and shipping fromt he States is silly money as well  although I have a friend over in New Orleans who; if I have goods sent to his address, will send them over to me at a greatly reduced cost :D He does it for a lot of us now :victory:

My MK4 scope came from HK  it's made in the same factory as the Leupolds but it had a slight blemish on the objective lens coating (does not hinder the scope in any way shape or form) but they sell them off cheap because its cheaper to flog them as seconds without the books than it is to have them disassembled and sorted then rebuilt again.

I used to buy cases of binoculars manufactured by a reputable "Name" and flog them on eBay a few years ago.

It was the same, they were made as 3-9X50mm but they had gone through the factory and had the front plates put on them and rubber armour then they realised the front plates had 3-9X60mm stamped on them. I explained on my listings what was wrong with them (the stamp on the plate) and I always got 100% positive feedback

I used to get them at 11£ a pair and they all (apart from the pair I still have and a pair I gave away as a gift) sold for £48 to £60 never had a single pair returned either.

If you dont mind me asking where do you get them from as i'm after some binoculars for taking out in the field but dont want to spend too much as i know that they will get dirty and knocked about.

I totally understand about being on a budget and i cant deny that harris are expensive when compared to similar models on the market, but having had a quick look on ebay it seems as though there are a few good quality second hand harris bipods available.I have to work hard and save hard for the things i have but i am,by my own admittance a bit of a gun "snob".... now before investing in any bipod ive found a good way of judging the quality of the item is to have a look at there second hand/re-sale value, more often than not if there any good they will fetch a reasonable second hand price......Just to add, harris are a quick release bipod, one that takes a second or two to remove...so why is it i always like to have a bipod on every gun that may require one ? i could save the cash and keep swapping a single bipod over from gun to gun.....i dont think its just me that considers getting a new bipod to be part and parcel of getting a new gun as ive seen several pictures where other people have done the same thing.., now if i can add that ive just fitted a bipod adapter to the 17hmr as it has a scnabell fore end, for the small cost of this item i found it made a great diffrence to the general fitting of the harris...Finally,the podlocks dont seem to be in vogue at the moment but i cant reccomend them highly enough, there are several different types available to fit almost every bipod on the market regardless of manufacturer.....atb & merry christmas :)

hi jasper

i have 3 bi-pods 6-9 for the golf course so i am nice and close to the ground, and for bench zeroing

and i have the 9-13 for the longer grass and for when i am in a hide,

and i have the 13-27 for even longer grass and for my scopecam shooting.

which i just sit on a chair and pic the rats/bunnies off

the 6-9 is a deben notched leg which is good for its price

the 9-13 is a buffalo i think, which is a swivel from adi! dose the job

and the 13-27 is a harris swivel from the states when i was over there!

and very cheap and dose a very good job

so there ya go 3 different types of bi-pods which i am very happy with, the other bi-pod i had it broke so gave it to phantom to see if he could get it to work, that was a 9-13 as well.

he still aint sent it back yet!!

this is a handy peice of kit Millsy! its called a "Dr Bob" and clamps round the bottle which you can secure your Bipod, sling or whatever too, The only resevation I have had is if its adding strain onto the bottle with the added weight and perhaps a sling attached too? :hmm:
