Just a few pic's of a pals Finn Gos bunny bashing, she'll be coming down here in the nest few weeks to go into a breeding enclosure to go in with a proven male, hopefully she'll make Loooove with my male and not stick him on the menu ....

The bird belongs to a pal up North! My season finished long ago, I'm sure once it got a foot on that Rabbit it was going nowhere ;), he sent the pic's down to me so I could have a look at her before he brought her down in the next few weeks....

Wicked pic's mate, I'm wanting one of them. :icon_eek:

Hello Fletch

there's no doubt about it they're quality birds to fly but one thing I can say is they certainly hold you to Ransome compared to Harris's. to take quality Pheasants/game over long distances and not the usual Muggings you see on some other lists you'll need to commit alot of time with a P/R Gos getting it fit and confident, all Gos's will seem pretty good even when unfit and you would expect them to follow the arse end of a Pheasant and nail it on the put in, but some of the fit one's flown regular will produce the most extraordinary flights that can sometimes leave you pinching yourself that you witnessed it.

I certainly havn't done a Gos justice for a good few years now, probably down to enthusiasm plus Breeding them takes the edge off flying them! they've been average and did a job, but a fit one that really wants em is something else.

Having said that mate that Male Harris of yours seems like a nice confident fella! you certainly did him justice big time .

Cheers

cracking photos that birds a credit to your mate all the best woht breeding her! :victory::victory:

Nice one mate :victory:, I'm looking forward to getting her down here to have a good look at her, its always a worry making up new pairs as the females can be pretty aggresive if she's not quite in breeding condition....
