And if your whips were too small to see game moveing in the beam . . . . .. i dont think height was the problem

FFS Height has nothin to do with how far a dog can see ,you mean height gives the dog a better vantage over obsticles, 6" is a lot between the sheets but what are you lamping for 6" to make that big a difference ?????? when you talk about "BIGGER STUFF" dont blame the dog , blame the man behind the light, its horses for courses,the bigger dogs your talkin about in certain situations would be 2nd rate to a whippet but it doesnt mean that bigger dog was inferior in the field just not suited to that situation, seb coe wouldnt live with big linford christie over a sprint but it didnt make him a bad athlete , also your honest enough to say you dont like the man so that explains your BITTERNESS, you take it out on slatin his dogs and tryin to run him down, problem you have mate is people will work his dogs and appreciate them for what they can do ~ not what they cant do.

Where did anyone claim that they had the stamina of a saluki etc etc etc. All i'm saying is cos one x or breed of dog could put less in the bag than another does not make it shit. As long as it fills your bag and makes you happy who gives a f**k. And being taller doesnt automatically mean that dog will end up taking more game, i seen some shit tall dogs and all. And as for the height thing - big difference between a JR and a Deerhound, but between a 21 & 1/2 " Whip and a 26 " dog there is only 4.5" difference, so how much further can a dog thats 4.5" higher see? You enjoy your dogs and let others enjoy theirs without telling them that they are 'not serious' about their sport.

cant see where anyone has stated....STRENGTH OF A BULL X, STAMINIA OF A SALUKI OR BRAINS OFF A COLLIE , this is where the thread gets out of order , someone goes straight to last page reads post above thinks this is what is being said about whippets and quite rightly says the breed hasnt the qualitys of above mentioned, think this thread has ran its course for me.
