Beddy-Poacher 30
Did'nt know it was possible to be given permission to hunt on National Trust land.. Thought the game on there would be protected, Obviously not crows and vermin etc.. Quote Link to post
North Country Boy 0
I work for NT and dont know of any land they lease the shooting rights too, although i have been asked to do a bit of vermin control every now and then. Quote Link to post
shepp 2,285
I almost had permission on some National trust land near me after doing loads of volunteer work for them. The head ranger a bit later called and said that the police were not happy with an air rifle being used there because it was near to the airport. I think it was bullshit myself. Quote Link to post

fjer20 0
Natural England are planning on selling off some of their nature reserves which hold a large number of shoots on them. People have been worried that the buyers may be anti shooting and therefor not renew the shooting leases when the time comes. The rumor you have heard may have come from this but got twisted along the way! Quote Link to post
