millsy44 72
Alright lads, Had a trip up one of my farms yesterday to test my newly purchased newly refurbished super10 out, after giving it a full refurb Got there about 11am, popped in to see the farmer to let him know i was there "nayy worries youngun" was his reply (as always) Told him id be in the barns most of the day and that i had left the shotgun at home, and was planning to make another dent in the collared dove numbers. This picture is the driveway to the farm, see all the dots in the tree on the right?? "DOVES" This is the large barn, its always good for a few ferals sitting on the girders Poorly car all frozen over Time to get tucked in on a large stack of hay bales, when on top of the bales im practically roof level, so as the birds come in for the grain in the little red barn (the far one in the photo) I have a good straight shot, The birds always perch onto the diagonal girder on the right, as the left side is netted. This gives me a bang on 14yard shot from my position on top of the bales every time. The birds were coming in as usual, but were very flighty and easily startled, still managed to bag a few and keep the farmer happy for another day. Quote Link to post
rossi_j 99
Well done young'un lol, nice shooting, I think being tucked up in hay bales is the best place to be out shooting the way the weather has been. .atb. .ste. Quote Link to post

millsy44 72
Cheers lads, on the hay bales is the ideal place, as its the only entrance to the grain cylos and if you miss at 14 yards then you should turn the gun on yourself!! lol all head shots yesterday They land on that diagonal steel bar every time to have a look for danger before they come inside, but im to stealth!! haha hay bales are great cover, mind you when your at the top and look down its abit scary, must be 25ft lol and cheers about the rifle comments, it looks 100% better than when i got it a week ago, im happy with my work Quote Link to post
