What do you think of this cross for an all rounder as i'm looking to get one? from where i dont know yet but interested in a first cross

All I've ever owned is beddy xS they make good dogs but a first x may lack on top end in the big fields but they die trying if you do decide in getting one in my experience make sure the beddie is the mum and if you can to a non ped whip, or a 2nd or 3rd generation 1st cross as they throw bigger if you get the right one and you won't go much wrong in my opinion

My halfx beddy/whippet is a cracker of a lamping dog its all hes used for and the odd mooch through the day wid others. Who ever decided they werent a good lamping dog clearly hasnt seen a good lamper. He keeps up with all the other dos hes ran with. And he catches more than enough of what were out for, people seem to severely underestimate these wee dogs. He does all hes asked,

well said gizmo the litter mines was from,was beddi whipp x beddi whipp,the pups were very similar,and were all racey compared with straight 1st crosses as they seem to vary a bit somtimes,good little dogs all the same

good little dogs! mines good on rabbits an done reds the same size as him. bt i think a beddy grey would make a better allrounder.

like i said not IDEAL lampers espaicially on uneven ground. i wasnt saying they wernt of any use at all.

i have only seen 2 beddy whippets run, and they was very good, also go ferreting with a small bitch of this cross and its 100% a marking dog....

 

suppose its all about the parents..... imo

My brothers just got a first x beddie whip cracking little dog aroun11 weeks now gives my 2 hell

I've got 3/4 wihp 1/4 beddie 6 mnths started her with the ferrets and she's doing well, will be interesting next year to see the difference between the 2
