anyone know how i stand with the law dog had a go with my pup and it gave it a dam good thrashing (bullx ) now the owner wants me charged as his dog got a kicking :ph34r:

how did it happen ? was yours on lead ?? were they both running loose ?? who started it ?

yeah some details might help. If your dog was on a lead or under close control and the other dog came up to yours and started it then your not at fault. It might be hard proving that unless you have witnesses though, did anyone else see what happened? if not its your word against his and I doubt much will come of it

was letting pup have a run no one in area then this guy lets his terrier type loose has a go at the old whippet and the bullx battered it all over in 30 seconds but this guy wants me charged ???????????????? says pit bull locked up on his dog witch was bolloks but 2 of them and just me ????????????? no lock on as i had bitch on lesh in 40 seconds????????????

In my experience the bizzies dont give a f**k [bANNED TEXT]. You might get a visit from them if the other bloke knows where you live,but they wont bring charges even if the other bloke wants to.

The only option the other bloke has is to try and take you to court over it,which can run very expensive for him.

I paid out £1200 in vets fees when my 10 month old beddy x was attacked by 2 staffies and the bizzies took 2 weeks to come to my house.They told me they would visit the other guy,but there was nowt i could do about it as far as pressing charges.

 

The staffy owners dogs have since killed quite a few cats and other little dogs,or so i have been told,and no one has been able,or can afford to press charges.

 

I am always tooled up when im out with my dogs now,no unknown dogs ever get near my beddy x now

I wouldnt worry about it, in my experience they cant do feck all, this is what happened to me,

 

I had 3 lurchers off the lead in a field and a bunch of people were having a picnic over the fence at the bottom of the field (it was a sloping field) they had a collie cross which jumped the fence and ran up the side of the fence and my lot thought it was game so sprinted off after it and all piled in!!!!

 

Luckily they didnt do to much damage, the family, (asians I think) went mad accusing me of having rabid dogs, the one guy even said one of my dogs bit him! This I new was bollocks as I trust all my dogs with people even my own kids (if I had any).

 

They were going mental and tried to take my dogs, after a few stern words I told them to call the police and if they tried to touch my dogs they would be ones needing a vet!!!!

 

Eventually 2 police cars, a dog van and ambulance came! I found out that they told the police my dogs were attacking them and nearly killed there dog, the police came over and looked at my dogs, I told them the truth that all the dogs were off the lead and they had a fight, the police said that as there dog was off the lead as well they would not do anything, they seen and stroked all my dogs and could see that none of them were a danger to the public and that they would not hurt a Human.

 

I did agree to pay for a vet to see there dog but I insisted it was my vet, the vet looked at there dog and gave me a bill for £60-00 and that was that. it was treated for a small tear in its ear and shock.

 

had it been one on one I would not have agreed to the vet.

lol i went to court not long ago over the same thing ..mind you i was unlucky the owner was a copper tryed to do me under the dangerous dogs act and they were only terriers and the copper did me for assult as well ..went not guilty and found not guilty :11: :11:

I NEVER LET MINE OFF A LEAD IN A PARK AFTER TWO ROTTIES GOT A PASTING OFF MY BIG LAD , BUT ILL TELL YOU SUMMAT IF YOURS IS GETTING IT HARD OFF ONE, SLIP EM. NO DOG SHOULD BE MADE TO GET A PASTING CAUSE THE OWNER ISNT ABLE TO CONTROL EM. A PIT LOCKED ONTO MY COLLIE IN THE PARK, SO I SLIPPED THE 2 LURCHERS, THEY RIPPED IT UP LIKE A LAMPED CHARLIE .THAT DOGS GOT 3 LEGS NOW AND WONT BE WORRYING ANYONE ELSES DOGS
