olim 28
You canot shoot phesants with a airgun . YES YOU CAN, although I think that you are getting a bit confused, pheasants are released by keepers to be shot with shotguns as people will pay for the sport. they release hundreds or thousands and it is not an easy job. 1) If you just put a few pheasants on your permission you will probably not see them again as they will go some where that they can easily obtain food and prefer 2) It can be a full time job as a gamekeeper to have the pheasants on the land to be shot, its not easy to keep them in one place and have them where you want them 3)There isnt much point of shooting them with an air rifle unless for food, you cant shoot them like you can with a shotgun so it's not as sporting Although if you have any on your permission you can stalk them and shoot them as it is good fun and they taste good Edited December 9, 2010 by olim Quote Link to post
