HEAD SHOT 1
hi mate, i sold my one on about 6 months ago, nice gun but it kept knocking the scope out due to the sharp recoil. the lad who's got it niow likes it tho. apparently they have been known to break scopes due to recoil however. hope this helps, wurz See,ive owned many a Rifle but always fancied the sl98 and the evo but its comments like this that put me right off never mind the fact tha theoben are over priced and dont care about there customers, there attitude is poo. I would say get a BSA lightning and gas ram it or any other rifle there is gas rams for. Youl find you will save alot of money. I use to think, theoben made gas rammers wouldnt kick so hard as they were built to take the ram but obviously not. People are so mistaken when they think its going to be smooth like a pcp and not kick. A tuned springers better then a ram. You got to have a decent scope as they do bust em,they bust chonos/teth and eye brows too lol. If you do go gas ram,try getting the power down to 9ft/ibs.I might try that. Quote Link to post

What gas-ram guns have actually used? Some of the compact, lightweight Theobens are like that as are most of the lighter after market retro-fitted guns. The Sirroco from way back when and the Fenman were probably the worst culprits for this.... I have a Lightning with a ram and it's a damn site nicer to shoot now than it was before but with ALL the retro-fit kits, you can't adjust the power, the only ones you can are Theobens own stuff and the HW90 which is by far the best gas-rammed gun out there, as good as pretty much any tuned steel springer Cheers. gurtwurz 792
hi maty, i think andyr1968 uses a hw90 with a gas ram and he loves it(but then it is made by weirauch so you know the quality's there), i've only shot the evo so i couldnt comment on any others, but like i say, i liked it, just my scope didnt!! cheers, wurz Quote Link to post
StevoSmith 147
I have just been reading reviews on the evo as i have never shot one.....as is said above they break scopes quite abit.....if you want a decent springer get HW77 tx200 ...or BSA Lightning you carnt go wrong with them and sweet to shoot Quote Link to post
