does anybody kennel a lurcher with a terrier

i have had a terrier for 2 years and got a lurcher 2 months ago and they get on Farley well but that is [bANNED TEXT] they get let out together the lurcher is in the house at night and terrier,lurcher and cocker spaniel has free roam of garden but soon they will be kenneled together at night cocker spaniel is fine.i have read a few books and they say if you kennel a terrier with a lurcher in the end you will end up with a dead terrier.

i have also heard this to be the case,wouldnt trust it personnely :thumbs:

I think its one of those things, it might be fine forever but there are enough people out there who have lost good dogs over something stupid after years of their dogs getting on fine, to testify to the fact that its probably not worth risking it long term.

i used to have the terrier and lurcher in the same kennel

the terrier used to bully the lurcher and wouldnt let the big dog in the bed until the big dog snapped and drilled the terrier into the ground

by luck i was sitting on the doorstep and stopped the fight right away

but if this happens when you are not there to intervein you will end up with a dead terrier
