Cocker pup

Here is a few pictures of my young cocker pup I got off mr openshaw yesterday. Out of mallowdale gun x cidwr gold dust...

 

He is a cracking little pup in and about everything... He is my first spaniel looking forward to training him once he is old enough. At the minute i am just planning on using him for beating and picking up but if I get my shotgun license then will be taking up rough shooting.

Yeh this was the pup I was telling you about mate. Thanks, he is a cracking little dog like. I aint really going to do anything with him until he is 6 months old mate. Just the odd bit of retrieving and soacialising up until 6 months. Going to be walking him seperate from the lurchers dont want him picking up bad habbits etc..

As you got him off Opie then make sure you tap him up for some tips. You won't go far wrong if you follow his advice.

Aye mate allready onto him... Going to be taking the dog back down his once its 6months old so he can get me going with a training regime

If you want my advice I would get the ground work training in long before 6 months. You want a well trained worker, not a field trialling dog and IMO there is a big difference especially in terms of training.

Hi mate, thanks for the advice. I will do little bits of work on basic obidence but wait until 6 months to really start training. Its all a learning curve for me really but want to do the job right first time so appreicate any advice given.
