my bitch is in pup and i am after abit of advice see what is the best protien i should be giving along with her normal dry mix.any advice please.she is between 5 & 6 weeks on.its my first litter so i aint too clued up.

If she's on a GOOD QUALITY dried food, then you shouldn't need to add anything else. I personally feed raw, and would always continue to wether pregnant or not. See how she goes with adding some raw feeding, i'm not sure i'd want to mess about with her diet too much whilst pregnant. Best of luck with the pups.

feed her the puppy food your going to feed the pups it has all the vitamins calcium ect for her and the pups

ok thank you.i will try her on a bit of steak see how she gets on with it.she will be 18 months when she drops,managed to keep them apart in her 1st season but 2nd season didnt go to plan.thought she was bit young so maybe good diet will help things out a bit.thanks for reply.

just keep her on the same food as she has always eaten mate,pups will be fine it wont affect them at all if you start changing her food it may upset her stomach and give her the shits

i know its your first litter and like i said i dont mean to be a priik here but 5/6 weeks on

you should have asked for all the info you need at the start if not before the dogs were lined

all that aside i hope all pups arrive in good healthy condition

Its not ideal, but accidents happen and at least your doing your research now to ensure the bitch and pup get the best possible diet and care. Best of luck, and next time get a crate and lock her in it!

its funny how they were kept apart on her 1st season but not on her second.no sorry im having none of it as ive managed for 30yrs to keep them separate and i no of people who have said the same as you mate £££££££££££££££ take it which ever way you want but thats my opinion.atb with the pups and hope they are ok.

ok cheers.i work all day and 3 year old and 11 year old lads at home didnt help things but accidents happen tho.and if it was for the readies i would of used a good border dog,instead they will be 3/4 border russell so aint worth a shilling really.i have been adding cooked chicken breast to her late feed for few weeks but like i said i aint too clued up so wanted to check if i could improve her diet at all.thanks for replys people.

ok ive never give raw or chicken carcass's will she shite with the raw?shes in kitchen on night with weather been bit harsh.and do they do ok with chicken bones-or is that a wifes tale.cheers.
