stones 23
We get told to shoot them if possible to stop dickheads driving across fields, through fences, gates, crops and hedges to chase the hares in 4x4's. I thought the dog was supposed to chase the hare, not the jeep. That's what happened at altcar when the ban was brought in (to stop illegal coursing lamping etc) used to see loads there when they were keepered hardly see any now Quote Link to post

But no some f*****g dickheads have to wreck the place, show no respect or bit of courtesy and f**k things up for everyone. :wallbash:  Quote Link to post

I'd be surprised if a badger makes a big difference to be honest. If it caught one in its lifetime it will probably down to luck..... bit like most of the dogs on here lol. 1 Quote Link to post
Bobba_fett 117
what would you blame for the decline in hares theres land devoid of hares that once held decent numbers.i think the increase in buzzards and other birds of prey has played a significant part 20 years ago you never seen a buzzard now there as common as dog shit.lamping has also played its part as theres dogs taking hare on the lamp that would struggle daytime. buzzards wont have a great deal to do with it mate they wont even take a leveret the only BOP that could bother hares in uk is the goshawk and golden eagle and even then not enough to hit numbers in any area be dickheads shooting them thats your problem that is total sh!te "wont even take a leveret" you need to get out the house a bit more, its stupid made up facts like that, that is setting back laws to control of these feckin things. as a grouse keeper who is out on the hill everyday i can tell you 100% they will take leverts, adult white hare, grouse, lapwings, curluws as well as anything else that moves and i'v seen this not just read about it on the RSPB web page. 1 Quote Link to post

robo-christ 40
i blame toffs/shooters,either directly by shooting them or indirectly by the keeper shooting them to stop people running them and risking his pheasants, which in turn are only valuable because the toff/shooter is willing to pay to shoot them.
