pre-ban, if you wanted a dog to run mainly hare and fox

Recommended Posts

in America they have running dogs that do hare's and COYOTES let alone feckin fox

I'm not tryin to make you look bad but you should probably come over here and try to find the single handed jack rabbit dog that is also a single handed coyote dog. All I'm sayin is "DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE". You may not be aware of this but most folks will lie to ya when the truth would do.

I'd certainly say that most lurchers should if entered properly to fox should be able to take them with ease, certainly something the size of a saluki lurcher, I'd wager that most that jack on them ar

well i'd take a dog that could do hares single and coyotes doubled/tripled up over a single handed hare and fox dog.

but youre right i havent ever seen these dogs with my own eyes,so probably shouldnt assume too much.

anyway i think i'd go for a fast well worked bull/grey x fox killing saluki blooded coursing dog, just because in theory it should work.

Gotcha! I'd even bet you that if you took two single handed hare dogs and ran them on coyotes together it wouldnt take long, like maybe on the second coyote even, for them to say "f**k THIS SHIT" and quit ya. To understand coyotes folks need to run them a time or two and let things play out as they will. Might be alot of emberassed folks out there that think they know what a rough dog is.

Back to fox and hare though..........I do believe there are dogs out there that can do both single handed but I bet you tryin to find them that could do is consistantly would be like tryin to find rockin horse shit.

You would want your dog to kill, or even take part and give his fair share by the age of 12 months.
