Spring Air Rifle Maintenance

Hey Guys,

I went out and bought myself a Weihrauch HW95k, on the maintenance side of things i was wondering what oils you guys use to keep your own springers in good condition and working perfect.

hey mike, nice rifle ive just bought a hw97k recently and am wanting to knw about oils aswell. up to now i knw that u shud'nt store it ur gun bag as it will rust (personal experience). after i have been out with mine i give a good rub down with a silicone spray and cloth, but not sure about oiling the moving parts i.e. metal on metal.

Hi Michael.

 

The Weihrauch system is very much self contained and unless it's broke, you have nothing to fix. Keep your HW95K sweet with Bisley or Napier's gun oil and a squirt inside the cocking pivot, outer breech faces and cocking link/pivot. AVOID oils in the Transfer port or you'll have major dieselling problems. Give the whole action/metalworks a clean down with a soft rag wetted with the oil to get rid of fingermarks and handling marks after every session and she'll look as good as the day you bought her

Use some three in one oil to give the metil work a rub down. And you can store your gun in a gunslip if it breaths (not air tite)

Ah, sorry NO! don't store any gun in a gunslip, or any moisture will be trapped and the gun will rust inside it!
