minshaws in ireland or not

Recommended Posts

I work up here in the north east of scotland, for one of the big estates with my fatherinlaw, some weeks back the jeep broke down in one of the remote parts of our estate, could not get a signal on mobile, so i was pretty stuck, now with rain falling and wind howling, i decided to go for the long hike back,i was only gone a couple of mile when low and behold a vehicle came behind me,i could not believe my luck, the lad rolled the window and asked me was i all right, :icon_eek: hardy looking charcter he was with irish accent,i explained what happened, hop in and we will see what we can do,he tuned around and headed back to my jeep,if you could tow me i be grateful,ah suh we will have a look he replied.i noticed a big hound in the back, out of politeness i asked what in him.minshaw blooded but he is only a pet really, now the lad spent some time on my jeep and got it going, he must of been a mechanic because he knew what he was doing,i shook hands with him and invited him back to the cottage for some tea , another time said he,now i never really got to ask him what has him up here, now my fatherinlaw had a rough night of it chaseing poachers around along with two other keepers and a police car,all he could tell me was they crossed the lane loaded with rabbits and a big red hound with them :icon_eek: they had all the necessary roads blocked for most of the night, but they just disappeared with no sign at all.I HOPE THIS MIGHT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION,

just to answer JACOB they are here, but only really with one family that i no off,the old boy that keeps them is really a private fella, keeps much to himself, cant compare them to the old stuff cause i never seen it,but he no how to fill the van up with stuff :notworthy: recently a friend of mine was out ferreting with him when they saw a shotgun man shoot at a pheasant on the far bank, the bird flew over there heads and landed in a lake in the far field, the shot gun fella thought he missed and continued on, the old boy walked out in the field and sent the dog into the water , my mate got his phone out and video the dog retrieving the bird right to hand from the lake, any gun dog would of be proud of the retieve, but for a lurcher i think that says alot,i dont think the irish boys will give him up

I've spoke to the owner of these two pups, how can you say a 9mth old pup is spewing on rabbits on it's very first outing ???? why not mention the bitch pup that is catching 10's and 12's and as been since 7mth old .Can't figure your motives but will say the owner of these pups was very dissapointed with the way you have twisted his words to suit whatever your motives are, But he's not the first is he ????

try not lets turn this into a slagging match, jack lee i can understand why the lid is been kept on over there  with all the shit stirring over them over here, it would make anyone keep quite about them, the man that keep them seems to be a genuine dog man and they are few and far apart, NESBIT its a shame that the tax payers money ounce again is wasted setting check points up for a few lousey bunnys poachers, its the likes of the keepers and land owners that has it the way it is with all there whineing and moaning,

I done a lot of graft with Minshaw, and have bred some smart pups recently, with old "Blue"s bloodline in them,i don,t know what he had in the seventy,s as he was only running "Blue" in the mid eighties, they were good and i personally witnessed "Blue" take ninety rabbits on night and go home as if he had not been out.i hope to put a pic on soon of pup i have bred
