no real reason to castrate a dog in my eyes other than an illness,,,,,,,,if your not responsible enough to own an entire male don't keep one at all..

what a load of shite.......i had my staffy done about a year ago think it was about 130.00 .it all gose on the weight if i remember...the reason i did it was to help stop my 2 male staffs fighting and it did the job ;)

What a load of rubbish! I didn't ask whether i should or shouldn't castrate my dogs, i was asking about the cost. :censored: I don't want him entire because i have 2 entire males already who are studs, and he lives with entire bitches whom i do not want him to mate with and i do not want to breed from him anyway. I also prefer castrated males as they are generally calmer and more obediant than an entire. IMO. ;)

Shame we couldn't castrate some men.

I had my racing bred whippet done as he was a crypto (no balls  ) it cost me £156 because his balls were in his tummy area,

but a normal operation here would have cost me £58 for a whippet, I think it goes by weight, as my toy yorkie cost me £37

stabs they have a saying up here "you can't educate pork",,,half the fuckwits for castration are anti tail docking,,,its ok to cut an animals knackers off and usually to late in it's life cycle to have any positive results

but heaven forbid taking a tail off thats only gonna get damaged later in it's working life anyways.......

before bullsmilk and his limited vocab reply can i just say i run a dog training business and see on average 250/300 clients a year on a one to one basis and in most cases of castration to alter behaviour it doesn't work in the positive and to the person who asked the original question this is a working dog board,,keep your showdogs but keep them entire,,you made the decision to take in another male,,live with it.......

Dont know about dogs but work wise it doesnt seem to make any difference with bitches.

Plus you can work them 365 days of the year, no unwanted litters, can be housed all year with dogs, and if done early no chance of mammory or ovarian cancers. And you can keep them in the house without the need for plastic covers or

a sanitary towel slapped on them
:D

MOLL.

You can go and f**k yourself.............he doesn't have behavouiral problems, reasons for castration have already been mentioned  People who need behavouirists are the people who can't control dogs, castrated or not. I have 3 entire males who are well mannered and obediant..........

Mate if i had showdogs i would have fat, kc registered dogs that didn't know the meaning of work, theres plenty of neutered WORKING dogs out there. And for your information i am PRO docking............. :clapper:
