mole trapping

after a bit of tuition from my mate peg and gun i set 11 mole traps and had 5 moles here are some pics

congratulations,just hope you dont live to close to me :whistle: ,one thing i noticed from your pictures ,the turf looks a bit large. Once you locate which way the run is going you should place the trap on top of it and cut around it nice and tight,to make it fit the trap nice and snug. :thumbs-up: .another professional mole trapper in the making.

Funny. This got me thinking how I'll Never trap a single mole, ever again. There being, famously, none of them in Eire. I gave that a moments thought too. Then, glancing out the window, it struck me why we have no moles here. Quite simply? They'd need to evolve f*cking Gills! So much of the ground here is so water logged, for so long .....

 

Anyway, you're obviously off to a flying start there. Pity people hang them on the fences these days though. Always kinda saddens me. Time was .....

teejay was tutored by a man that was tutored by another man that traps over 6000 moles a year , so i reckon he,s doing ok , i don,t see the point in making things difficult by having a tight hole there is also another good reason for making the hole bigger , but that is a closely guarded secret :whistle:

When your setting 100-200 traps a day you dont have time to measure every trap and Moley is right about a slightly larger hole,theres a good reason for that but if i told you moley would have my balls in a mole trap

i was making a comment , i did not say that me and peggy where the be all and end all of mole catching, prehaps if you crawl back out your arse , you can pick up on a few thing that will help you catch even more, like i said why f**k about in a hole only just big enuff to get the trap in ,give yourself some room to work, there is no way you are going to do a good job working in a hole you can hardly get your hand in,if you look back on my tape you will see why you don,t want a small hole
