What does everyone do with there quarry?

Might sound like a daft question but over the last few weeks iv found a lot of dead rabbits that some D**** have killed an just left them liein in the fields..seeing this does my head in would love to meet these people out lamping one night. What does everyone else do with theres?

i know lads who go about killin deer and leaving them ,it realy boils my piss ,rabbits i take home for me and the family and the dog,s ,any hares give 2 my mates owls ,has anybody tried eating hare?

When we hunt together we divide the bag between us using clean kills for the table and anthing that may be less fit for table is given to the ferrets. Skins are utilised for training pups larger pelts are cured we dont waist anthing. Unfortunatley plenty of people go out and take part in the sport but treat the bag at the end of the day as an inconvienence if you cannot do your quarry justice dont hont it leave it the fook alone. We try to finish in time so we can process out catch together as part of the day The butchers near me will do straight swap for other meat so it adds variety

eat every thing i kill , but i do sell some bits and peaces when there is no more room in my freezer witch is qiute often , £35 for a shot roa . with his belly out and his jacket still on . leaving deer

Eat it or feed it to animals. Spend all winter filling a few big chest freezers. If there is an excess i give it away to local folk or friends.

Rabbits ..Hares are usually dog /ferret food...anything bigger are butchered and used for the table if you aint bringing it home..dont kill it atb stabba..just to add..any foxes are left in a designated place for the farmer to dispose of as he see,s fit

thats were the real hunters come in we wouldent contenplate leaving stuff hunting is in the blood not for the sake of haveing a dog thats good and u can show of i think theres to many wannabes its alright killing stuff but u have 2 know whot 2 do with it and if u carnt dont do it.happy hunting harry

i caught long netter on here throwin rabbits away one night lamping . and he throws hares in the hedge :wankerzo4: if your killing it use it my motto. my mate nugget eat 5 rabbits in a sitting with bread.

if your not gunner put it to use dont flamin kill it. im all for hunting but killing for killings sake is a crock of shit!

 

me and the animals eat a few everyweek, the game dealer gets the rest. no profit from £1 each but its alittle something towards fuel cost, food, pellets ect.

 

hare is actually rather nice to eat, soak it in salt water for 24 to 48 hrs and its great, i mix it with rabbit and what ever else ive taken threw the week.

 

the ferrets and dogs also get fed a couple of days a week from the kill, saves a few ££££ on animal feed a week.

 

oh yer if anyone local gets a nice roe anytime give me a call, i love venison! but never get the chance of any.

all go's to feed the family kids love eating rabbit, only kill what i can eat or freeze

My 3 dogs staple meat is rabbit,I eat some, Magwitch's ferrets get some.

The rest go to friends and relations, same with the miscellaneous.

I don't usually eat much of what I catch but it don't go to waste either,the ferrets have most of the bunnies and a mate will have a few for a stew.If I happen to come across some big road kill that'll go in the freezer
