cocker 2,654
i used to like them lamps, had a blue eye, and also the one called black eye, and the night owl Quote Link to post
wirral countryman 2,110
I still use my blue eye sometimes when the rabbit's start to get lampshy, change of colour normally works for a few times,I keep 5 different lamp's and they all get used,I've never changed my sealed beam on my blue eye and its took a bit of stick down the year's,it is a nice soft light and is great for rabbits, atb, wirralman Quote Link to post

matt241075 12
the BLUE EYE yes a fantastic lamp with a super tight beam....but that’s about as far as it goes the bulbs filament drops out with the slightest knock and 15 year ago it was £20 to replace an absolute nightmare. I got rid of mine because I was sick of buying new bulb units..... Matt Quote Link to post
stoaty 171
black eye and night owl that brings back memories used to borrow my uncles when I 1st had the dogs bought a blue eye great lamp but was a bloody nightmare as Matt says fed up of replacing the filaments Stoaty Quote Link to post

stormyboy 1,352
Make your own. Use blue windscreen sun strip-I've done mine for years. On the striker it cuts down a lot of side glare and has a better beam than the old blue eye.The beam is less visible from a distance too. Quote Link to post
