:icon_eek: Ladys and Gentlemen. Fellow Students of Tud. I have alarming news!

In this, Month Four, the weather has been extremely warm and balmy for well over a week. My kitchen, while being well insulated by 18" thick walls, must have seen an appreciable rise in temprature. Yet I shall let ye judge for yeselves the effect of any such envormental factors have yet had on the samples of both Flora (Pro Active) Margerine and KerryGold Butter smeared onto my windowsill:

The Leitrim Experiment Month Four!

:icon_eek:NOT, I'd suggest, what we were expecting?! Only 25 days behind the margerine; The butter has actually demonstrated no more degredation that the margerine!

What may we extrapolate from all this, so far? I don't know. But this experiment will continue to the bitter ~ or the butter? ~ end!

Further; I have now decided to bring in a young Adjudication Assistant. Thus, as we speak, an Advanced Student is making preperations to visit this very Laboratory and will be able to bring you an objective opinion from this site!

Expect further updates within Two Weeks ;)

class, but not what us mere students of fat based spreads would have expected........thank you for the scientific input Professor Ditch........and i really am theorising about how long this experiment will run before the spreads run off the window

:hmm: Good thinking, Rick. Though I wouldn't have thought the window made that great a differance, considering the range of tempratures in and outside.

However, no sooner said than done: I have now placed a Min / Max type thermometer exactly equidistant between the two test subjects. I'll leave it there for some days and then shall read of the mean tempratures for that exact spot. These, I should expect, will start to show a gradual increase from round about now onwards. That, I feel, is when things might get a little more interesting!

:hmm: I think you're right, Jacob.

Ok then; I'll leave both samples there untill next january. If we have no more conclusive results by then; I'll despatch them both to you, for the conducting of just such a 'Taste Test'. In fact, maybe I'll send then courtesy of a few of the lads here, so they can monitor your own little experiment, most closely!

How decent of you to suggest and volanteer for that ~ in the name of Science! :good:

What about if everyone thats into this thread, puts a knob of each on their window sill or what ever outside and we all come back with the results in January.? :hmm::D

Just a thought? ;):D:drink:

now now mr shitter its your experiment and as butter and marges primary function is there taste i think a thorough scrutinisation is in order, and you being the scientist, and me only an observer, ill leave the taste test to you,if you dont do it how can you come to a definate conclusion. :D:drink::laugh:
