hi there pal

 

the smk qb78 range are co2 guns depending on what you intend on using the rifle for will alter if its of any use to you.

 

there not a bad rifle but they are co2,and as a hunting tool this lets them down,due to the changes in power caused by temperature,and changes in power will result in changes in point of impact,thus meaning that you will not be able to say if the rifle is zeroed and therefor shouldent be taking shots at live animals,incase of wounding..

 

if your after a quiet recoil free back garden plinker then yes spot on for the money, can be a little stiff on the bolt action at first but this smooths out after 100 shots or so.

 

in regards to tuneing yes they can be,however the normal version is about 9flb delux is about 10 and the thumbhole stock version is 11 and there for will not require much tuneing. and at the end of the temp ranges the power will alter and will increase so would not be a wise idea.

 

let me no what your intended use for the rifle is and ill give you an honest opinion if this rifle will be of any use to you.

I would use one for hunting

 

However I would limit its use in hunting to spring/summer

Asmentioned above, cold temperature can adversley affect the amount of liquid co2 that vapourizes hence differing muzzle velocities. Some people carry extra Co2 bulbs next to their skin to keep them warm, however this is a pointless excercise because as each shot is released and the liquid becomes gas, the cylinder cools down very rapidly.

 

Other than that; They are superb little rifle they can be tuned easily
